• Apply for your visa

A student visa to Australia needs to be applied once you have accepted your offer from acumen education and you have received the conformation of enrolment.
The visa processing time varies between a few weeks to sometimes more than six months and it depends on the country you are applying your visa from. Please take enough time to read the application, understand and fill it. It is advisable to provide all the required documents at the time of the application as missing documents may increase the processing time.
Do not delay the application process as mentioned before “sooner the better”.

• Book your flights

One you have get your student visa book your tickets. Remember you need to arrive before the enrolment commencement date. Your orientation day is usually one week before your course commencement date and plan accordingly to attend your orientation.

Decide on your accommodation before you arrive

You can make a decision as to where you want to live based on factors such as vicinity to the college campus and the cost associated. If you are not able to make a decision on your permanent accommodation and you want to make a decision once you arrive in Melbourne you may need to arrange temporary or short term accommodation where you can stay while you become more familiar with the city and look for somewhere to live long term.

• Airport Pick up

International students arriving in Melbourne to undertake studies at acumen education may require airport pick up when traveling for the first time.

• Plan before you pack Clothes

Seasons in Melbourne are more varied than those of some other areas in Australia, with warm summers, mild springs and autumns, and crisp winters. Summer in Melbourne last from December to February, autumn from March to May, winter from June to August, and spring from September to November. Top temperatures in Melbourne are usually in January and February, when the weather is often dry with hot spells. June and July are the coldest months, and October is the wettest.
So no matter what time of year you arrive, pack clothes and shoes for all seasons including some warm pullovers/jumpers, jackets and covered/rain-proof shoes.
Consider packing one formal outfit for any events or interviews you may need to attend.
