Melbourne has it all! Melbourne topped the biannual ranking of 140 cities with a score of 97.5 per cent, ahead of Vienna at 97.4 per cent. Vancouver slipped from the top spot to third with a score of 97.3 per cent. The top 10 included three other Australian and two Canadian cities; Sydney, Perth and Adelaide and Toronto and Calgary. Scam warning for student visa holders in Australia The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) today warned international students to be aware of individuals impersonating departmental officers seeking payment for alleged breaches of their visa conditions. The scammers are targeting overseas students in Australia who have limited working rights as part of their visa conditions. Some students, the department has been told, have received “fine notices” demanding payment of thousands of dollars for unlawfully working above 40 hours a fortnight.
