As an international student, I have been granted a deferment/suspension of my studies can I remain in Australia during this period?

If your leave of absence, deferral, or suspension of studies is approved for 28 days or longer, DIAC requirement states that you should leave Australia (unless there are exceptional circumstances). As an international student, you must: Remain offshore for the duration of your leave (if it is longer than 28 days); and Return no more than one month prior to the commencement of your next term/semester

If I do not clear a particular unit and am marked as “NYC”, what will be consequences? Will I be given another chance?
